As mighty heroes come forth to greet death.
Alas, bamboo leaves

And Yorimasa draws his last breath.
At the hour of death
Words in iron clad
Washed away remorse,
Painted soul in blood:

Like a petrified tree
花咲（さ）くことも

The august abode of the God of War.
He casts his sight on the clashing hosts -
Lo, as the dusk falls upon the gorge.
Spears rend their way through the Taira ranks,
Driving the scarlet banners into their graves.
In the cliffs
巖
streams of blood ran and
泉血を流し、
mounds of corpses piled up.
死骸岳を成せり。
Now, on the slopes of that valley
されば其谷の邊には、
Piercings of arrows and cuts of swords
矢の穴、刀の瑕殘て、
even now remain
今に有りとぞ承はる。

故知、般若波羅蜜多、是大神呪、是大明呪、是無上呪、是無等等呪、能除一切苦、真実不虚。
故説、般若波羅蜜多呪。
即説呪曰、羯諦羯諦、波羅羯諦、波羅僧羯諦、菩提薩婆訶。
